Thank you for the response.  I appreciate your input and your experience.  I have had it inspected once and am having an airframe expert from our local insurance repair specialists look at it.  I am waiting for them to go out and inspect it, hopefully this week.  If all goes well I am going to purchase the airplane and hopefully it serves me as well as the all of the Cherokees on this site have served their owners.  I am looking forward to my first airplane purchase and the freedoms it affords me.  Thanks again for all of the input and I will update the board on the purchase as it progresses.
