In my 1967 Cherokee, which I bought in March, there is installed an MX11 and an MX12. The MX11 is my primary comm unit and is crystal clear with absolutely no interfering background noise.
When I flip the comm switch to my MX12 it's a totally different scenario with a constant background noise that sounds like rushing water. Adjusting the squelch makes no difference. I can transmit and receive but very difficult to hear an incoming transmission.
Would anyone have some suggestions as how to correct the problem? I haven't tried to adjust the ST or side tone not knowing if this might be the problem?
