After talking with my wife about what she is most fearful of about flying it turns out to be motion sickness. Yes, she has the normal anxiety about small planes, but is softening on the idea as I move closer to starting my training. Both her and my son have gotten airsick on commercial airplanes on occasion, and both will get motion sick rarely in a car, if there is stop and go traffic. My son seems to be the worst (although he is only seven and may grow out of it), but oddly does not get sick on rides. Go figure. Myself and my daughter rarely get motion sick.

With that said, what is the best prevention people have used for themselves or for passengers? I have looked into the following to some extent: motion sickness bands, bonine (meclizine), Dramamine, and ginger. We have always used bonine for amusement parks and with it my son can handle pretty much any ride, and may start using it when he goes on planes, but I was looking for other things that may work. I am also trying to convince them to take a short either sight seeing trip or day trip as a test before trying a longer flight.

Any suggestions would be great (yeah I did not know where this topic belonged).
