I currently fly a PA-28-161 (Warrior II) and I'm considering purchasing a Turbo Arrow III. However, I'm 6'6" with VERY long legs (short torso). My left knee is wedged between the yoke and fuselage, and the angle of my legs from my knees to the floor is very steep, making it difficult to use the rudders and brakes (I have to lift the top of my feet as high as they will go toward my shins to get the proper angle, which is tiring). I manage, but it's painful. If only there was a way to move the seat farther back.
Is there an STC extended track or other safe modification of the seat track to allow it to go farther back without damaging the wing spar? I will rarely have passengers in the back seat, so it would be great if I could extend it much farther without comprising safety.
