I have a new audio panel with marker beacons. While under the panel I noticed the RG400 shield ground and the 22 gauge ground cable that goes to the marker beacon in pin on the Audio panel is broken.

Repairing it will be a BIG Pain.

My question is what to do?

remove the harness and solder shield back together.

Or

put a lug on the broken pin ground and run it to ground.

My thinking is that the marker beacon is a receiver only. I have an old style whip antenna on the belly. How of a problem is this?
