1971 P28R-200. Looking for Part number 67054-03 upper nose gear trunnion for my Arrow.
Not sure how it happened, but the tab where the shimmy damper bolts to the trunnion snapped off. Took off from my home airport, normal takeoff and gear retracted normally. Upon arrival, didn't get a green light for nose gear extension. Figured it was probably just the bulb. When I pulled the power back on short final, gear alarm horn goes off. Applied power to level off, and asked Tower if my nose gear was extended. Response was, "yeah, but only about half way". Full power, and climbed out. Cycled the gear, and this time (thankfully!) got all three green. Asked Tower for confirmation, and they said it looked fully extended. Landed with no issues and found the shimmy damper hanging. I figure it must have gotten caught up in something during the extension. No idea how it snapped off.
Any leads on a used part? The major salvage yards are all out of stock.
