Group,

Started to focus on scheduling my 1980 Piper Archer II for an ADS-B upgrade. One of the avionics shops I spoke with presented three options.

- A used Garmin 330 ES for ~ $4400
- A new GTX 335 for ~ $5400
- A new GTX 345 (~$7800) and recommended adding FS-210 (~$1100) to upload flight plans to my 430W.

Reading through these posts it seems these prices are excessive. Many members speak highly of the 345 coupled with a Flight Stream box but it appears there are other options out there.

So I ask:
  1. Out of these options what seems to make the most sense?
  2. How do these prices compare to what others have found?
  3. FS-210 seems like a great add on. Are there similar (i.e. inexpensive) avionics that I should evaluate?

I look forward to hearing what others think.
