Life limit on seat belts?

Hi guys,

I already tried the search function but didn't find anything useful. Somebody told me today, that Piper has a 12-year life limit on seat belts in their aircraft. The guy couldn't tell me where exactly this stands, so I tried to find it in the TCDS and in the Maintenance Manual but both without success. Can somebody here shed some light on this or is it just bull****?
