When performing an emergency gear extension test on my Lance the main gear lights are very slow to illuminate. This happens both in the air & on jacks. Investigation on jacks reveal that the gear free falls to its fully down position but the down lock hooks move very slowly & take more than a minute to fully seat & activate the switches. The pivots are free & the springs that pull the hooks down are new & correct. We also checked the restrictor fitting in the hydraulic down line & it is not obstructed.
Pulling the hooks down by hand takes some force but is not hard to do.
A stronger spring seems like it would solve this problem.
Does anyone have experience with this? Anyone put on stronger springs?
As always your input is much appreciated. David
