I am going to start again my IFR training and told my mechanic that I wanted to adjust the VOR's. They were both off when verified at the VOT from my airport. They are both King but my mechanic could only adjust the one on the right side of the picture (Nav2 driven by a King 170B not visible on the picture) He used an electronic signal device with a small antenna placed outside the plane and tuned in to a specified frequency. The VOR on the left under the S-TEC 30 could not be adjusted. It is a King 206 I (we took a picture of the label behind it) and according to the manual does not need adjustment. It is driven by the KNS 80. Can it be adjusted or is the KNS giving a bad signal? I know the panel is nothing to be jealous of but is funtional to me and legal for IFR training.
