My Saratoga has a Garmin 430 coupled with an Aspen EFD1000, the Aspen drives the KFC 200 autopilot. Every once in a while when I turn on the master switch the trim light on the KFC 200 will flash at a constant interval, 1 flash per second interval. While the trip is flashing, I hear a clicking sound at the same interval.

The problem resolves itself for about 5 seconds if I hit the yoke trim button. After Run-up the problem seems to go away.

Once in the air the trip works fine. The problem only appears to be while on the ground.

I have seen a number of trim post, however, mostly associated with trim in flight.
