Central Michigan two nights ago. 32* on the surface, layered clouds with tops at 6000. Light to occasional moderate in the forecast, twenty minutes on the approach, This is the unheated portion of the wingtip. Probably not a good outcome in a Cherokee when a personal flight "had" to be made with little to be concerned about because icing forecasts are “usually wrong”. You can expect ice in visible moisture below the freezing level. Flight plan with that in mind.
