I have a 830being installed on my 235, it’s a b I think with a fixed pitch prop, 1964. The kit came with five CHt probes and one probe of a different style meant to go under the factory CHT probe. Problem is, I never had a factory cht in my plane that I can tell. I have a after market egt on one cylinder but that it. The JPI distributor thought it was really odd that I didn’t have one from factory.

Any thoughts on that? We’re there certain years when it wasn’t standard?
