I have an iPad that I find awkward to use in the cockpit and I am starting instrument training in an airplane I have a share in. I don't like the leg strap for it and want to see what other people do in this airplane. A yoke mount is out as I can't see the manifold pressure and tach.

My instructor suggested an iPad mini with window mount. I think this is what I am considering although iPad mini on the market seems to be 3 years old and almost obsolete.

What have you all done? I would love to see pictures and options.
