Installing an avionics master

It on my list to get an avionics master switch installed in my 140. I am curious just how much of a "thing" this is. Is this a pretty simple task? Anyone knowledgable in the process able to estimate hours of labor for this? I assume parts would be pretty cheap - a switch and a big relay, some wires.
