I am an A&P / IA with an extensive background in avionics troubleshooting on corporate jets (Gulfstreams) so I figured I should be able to replace my existing KT-76A with the Stratus ESG, no problem right. :-? 
Luckily I do have local guys I could call for help if I get into a bind.
With that said, I am reaching out to see if anyone has completed this task and could provide tips and tricks. Also, possibly, would mind I shot a message too if I have a question.
