I'm having a problem with the push starter on my ignition switch (72 PA28-180). When I depress the key the starter will sometimes not get a full contact and will stop cranking. I can usually press more firmly and get it going but it looks like this will be a future source of trouble.

Are these switches maintainable? Can they be opened up and serviced? There are two screws on the base in pictures I've seen of the switch. Or, is this a sealed unit that I just need to replace?
