I have a 73 Challenger with a O-360-A4A. Recently I started having some difficulty hot starting. Before, I would leave the mixture out and crank until the engine fires and roll in the mixture, worked every time. Now I have to prime and put in full mixture. Sometimes, the prop actually stops at about 10 O'Clock position and I have to release the key for a second then then try again. Sometimes 2 or 3 times. I have also noticed that the prop spins slower than it used to. I have a Concord battery that is only a few months old and I use a BatteryMinder whenever I park the plane.

Is this the starter going out or something else? The previous owner replaced the AL cables already so I don't think that the cables are the problem. It starts fine when cold but it only takes 1 or 2 blades before it is running when cold.
