It’s that time of year again and My Annual Inspection is due. I am in need of help finding a competent and fair A&P Mechanic and Annual Inspector. I live in the Central Florida Tampa area and have a 1981 Piper Turbo Arrow IV. My first 3 Annuals have been disastrous, plagued with incompetent A&P Mechanics. I would prefer a mechanic who is okay working with owner assistants.

My concern this year is a leaky right fuel tank… it’s not a super bad leak but one that needs attention. In addition to recommending a good mechanic can anyone please recommend an outfit that does good tank repair work?

I am mechanically competent, have most of the tools that my plane requires and am willing to do as much of the work as regulations and mechanic will allow.

Any help would be greatly appreciated, thank you.
