I recently had a GTX 345 installed in my 140 and I gotta say, I love this thing already. However, something I cannot figure out and foreflight cannot answer, is that for some reason I cannot use the 345 as a GPS position source. By all accounts and documentation, I should be able to do this and not have to use a Bad Elf, which I had to do on my flight from the shop. It's configured to receive WAAS from my 430 and not using the internal antennae option. I can see traffic, weather, etc but simply can't figure out what is wrong. Is it a setting within the IPAD perhaps? Hopefully someone has come across this already.
