GTN database sub

So it’s Nav database renewal time. Last year I learned the hard way that (at the time) I needed an all Garmin database in order to update via my FS510 and Garmin Pilot app. Now Jeppesen is telling me they can do the same now and when I bundle it with my charts it’s a pretty good deal. Has anyone purchased the Jepp databases and updated with Garmin Pilot via the FS510? Don’t want to do this and find out it won’t work as the Garmin DB’s have been updating just fine.
