I have a mystery on my hands, is my 430 WAAS or not? The plane was advertised as a 430 and I believe it came with a green backed Jepp Nav card (8 Mb), so we just assumed it was a plain old 430. However, since I was considering trading it in on an IFD440, I got to looking at the 337s and the 337 says it's a 430W installed in 2010. I've been running it as a 430 with a 430 data card. The question is will a 430W work with a 430 data card and , if so, will it act like a 430 instead of a 430W. Being a software engineer, my guess is that is it would either not work at all or that is exactly what it would do. Anyone know for sure.
