Yep, read the manual, 6" from the magnetic compass and 3' from any high powered VHF antenna. Did a google search to see where others had mounted theirs. Several people had put them on the glare shield right in the middle.

In spite of reading, I tried it anyway. Ah, no! In that position in our Piper Lance we had com1 to com2 bleeding through and the tower could not hear us. Yikes.

Where is everyone putting them and what antenna are you using please.
