I have a pretty standard panel (six pack) with a couple VOR & GS plus a Sandia 340 Quattro. I use Garmin pilot on a tablet. It picks up weather if I'm flying low but not if I have good altitude.

I would really like the traffic avoidance and WX of ADS-B and the synthetic vision on my tablet would be nice too. Considering I will have to upgrade my panel in the next couple years anyway (that will probably be GTN750 and a GTX345), am I recognize I'm spending $900 for temporary use of the GDL.

I"m just interested in opinions about that. Should I buy it? I would already have a panel upgrade but I'm just not willing to put my plane in the shop that long. So, It will be at least another year and maybe two before I put the GTN in.
