My '76 Archer II just got out of annual and I flew it for the first time for about an hour. I didn't notice anything out of the ordinary when I put it back in the hangar. However, when I went to fly again the next day, there was gas leaking out of the gascolator. I removed both cowls and wiggled it slightly and the leaking got way worse. I went inside the cabin to shut off the gas and it wouldn't move into the OFF position. I haven't had much call to ever put it into that position but did on the previous annual when replacing the drain valves on both tanks. After wiggling that around a bit, the leaking stopped.

I don't trust it to work correctly again. Does anyone know if that valve can be overhauled or do I get one from Wentworth - or buy a new one? I'm not flying it again until something happens...

Any ideas?

Thanks,
Wes
