A question for the avionics experts...

I am considering a low-time, Garmin GNS 480 that is in great physical condition, except for one thing. In the lower right of the screen (see attached photo) there is an anomaly in what appears to be a film (anti-glare?) behind the actual glass. It does not affect the display, but I am trying to figure out if this is a condition that may worsen.

Has anyone seen this?
