G5 DG/HSI with older equipment

I’m contemplating a G5 as a replacement for a NSD360a system. However, I also have other decent (but older) gear in my panel, and don’t want to bear the expense of gutting the panel just yet.

Although I suspect the answer is no, has anyone had success making the G5 play with:

-KX-155
-Garmin GPS 155xl
-Piper Autocontrol III (for heading input)

I know it’ll play with GNS/GTN navigators, as well as the GNC255 and SL30...but those aren’t in the cards at the moment. I also know the GPS 155xl is old and not WAAS...but it’s enough to file /G and do RNAV approaches....and that’ll get me through instrument.

If there are no good cheap-glass HSI replacements that’ll play with this older gear, it may be worthwhile to keep this NSD running for another year or two.
