Fornula to Calculate Reduction in Stall Speed?

25 years ago I took an aerodynamics course which used a textbook written for naval aviators.

Loved the course.

During such, I learned a formula to calculate aircraft stall speed for an aircraft at less than gross weight.

Had to plug in the following, if I recall correctly:

Aircraft weight

Aircraft gross weight

Aircraft stall speed at gross weight

And using the formula, the result is the stall speed for the aircraft at whatever less than gross weight.

Can anyone tell me what the formula is? There are one or more square roots in the formula.
