Just left my Archer II at an FBO because the alternator wasn't charging during run up. It started a little hard, so I figured the alternator must have cut out en-route from KPYM to KBED - 30-40 minute flight. No one at KBED can work on it now, except to recharge the battery. So, the plan is to go to BED, start her up, fly back to PYM to my maintenance guy.

I think I can keep battery power on to get out of the Mode C, then put the radio on when I get close to KPYM. Alpha-1 will lend me a hand held.

Any advice? I've never flown without battery power.

Thanks, guys!
