First time poster here looking at being a first time aircraft owner. I've been looking at Cherokee 140's close to home and found a 1964 model that I'm interested in. A little about me : Commercial/Inst rated -500 hours total time, graduated from A and P school -still have to take writtens and oral and practical. I was in a flight club for years and then started renting again, I'm over it and want my own airplane. I also have an "ongoing" homebuilt amphibian project.
My mission would be cheap, day VFR flying, with an emphasis on cheap. Before I start scouring databases for AD'd and SB's, is there any big gotcha's on a '64 140? (I did read the thread about the Wing Spar Service Bulliten). Thanks for any advice and insight.
