Anyone else having issues with the Stratus ESG transponder failing?
Issues today:
1) "Failed Squitter" comes on the screen
2) Screen blinks on and off
3) GPS position lost
4) Tried cycling the power, zip

All these things happened on climb out AFTER run up and getting the GPS location with no issue.

Landed again, cycled the power for the 10th time, position re-acquired, took off again. Screen started blinking on and off again. Cycled the power and it finally started working again.

After the Sunday hamburger run, departed and on the way home, same issues, only this time, when I attempted to cycle power, it simply would not come back to life and appeared dead permanently. Ended up flying home using pilotage (nice practice).

Landed, put the bird away and, out of curiosity, turned on the Master and boom, Transponder powered up with no issue.

What the...?
Thoughts?
Thanks
Robert
