FAA Proposed AD on pa 28 fuel selector dial

I have recently seen a proposed AD on old type pa28 fuel selector dial.
it specifically mentions the flat type that has OFF - L - R - OFF that the dial can point to

even though my plane 1965, it does not have this type of dial. mine is concave with OFF - L - R selectable.
which im shocked to see.

but im just trying to get some more understanding of exactly what planes this AD affects and what fuel selector type it will apply to.
