It depends.


If you fly VFR only, and you have a maintenance advantage to do so (failed instrument, cost of overhauls, etc.), then sure, pull it.


If you fly in the clouds, because they are so readily available these days, in my view you should have two independent attitude indications. That can be two MAX units, a MAX and an electric standby with a battery, or your original factory vacuum system.
