I have a new to me 73 Challenger (Archer). It's got very new avionics and I want to familiarize myself with their operations while I'm not burning 100LL and instructor time. (still a student pilot). I understand the external port is not for charging, but if I've got 12 volts going into it, will it energize the panel?
