My warrior is in for annual and while chasing a low cylinder compression (< 50), pulling the cylinder they found bad cam due to spalled runners (O-320E3D with around 1530 SMO). Last year's annual had all cylinders above 70 with no other issues (flew 32 hrs after last annual).

Now my options are to find a used engine, rebuild at local shop (Bolduc Aviation) or send it to Penn Yan for a rebuild.

Bolduc has been there for 35+ years and I have heard good things about them but Penn Yan is very famous.

I also have the option to upgrade to 160HP through RAM STC but will loose the option to run MoGas in the future. Is 160 upgrade worth the extra $1-2K?
