I need some help folks. I have a 1977 Piper Archer II and I have a problem that seems to be getting worse. It almost left be stranded Sunday.

For a few months - I have noticed when I flip the master switch there would be no sound of the turn coordinator whirring. When this would happen - airplane would not start. I did notice the avionics and fuel gauges would still come online. I first thought it was a master switch problem. I had it replaced and no fix.

The other day I noticed when I'd have this issue - I'd also loose the electric trim. So - when no turn coordinator spins up, there is no electric trim, and the airplane will not start. It's like there is no electricity flowing to starter, trim servo, and turn coordinator.

When the problem corrected itself (without intervention - just waiting) - the airplane started immediately. I can't see where there is any sort of battery issue. The battery is less than 3 months old BTW.

Does anyone have a clue? The problem just happens on occasion and at the most inconvenient times.

Thanks so much!
