Has anyone known a plane to be guilty of eating alternators?
After a reman. The first imploded after a 6 hrs return flight. main pulley ideler, belts and even took out the ac pulley and belt. 2nd alternator last 1 hr and quit working. Now the 3rd one lasted 3 month, 20+-hrs. Now the shop that did the work says there is something in the plane causing this (first one was obviously a installation problem). Now the shop will not warranty their work stating their limit is 2 alternators and their is something wrong with the plane. I'll hold the 2 shops name out for now.
