So dropped the Dakota off 3 months ago for paint....ran perfect, went to pick it up, dead, no spark. Checked timing, points show not closing on both sides. Pulled mag and ran over to Sean at Eagle Magnetos in New Smyrna Beach on Saturday morning, bench tested and confirmed dead on both sides. 20 hours since rebuild, points badly corroded, and plane is hagared EXCEPT for several different weekends parked on ramp in Key West. A few of those times we had severe storms come in with strong North winds.....Tested all good and will install tomorrow and bring home in time for another Key West trip on Tuesday. Bringing cowl plugs with.
