Spoke with the avionics shop yesterday about installing G5's to replace the AI and the HSI. I asked about removing the vacuum system and was told that we had to keep the vacuum AI. I thought that I have read that the G5 is a primary replacement so the vacuum AI is no longer required. Anyone run across this when installing G5's?
