My point in digressing the thread is that if it's wrong to let students have the major role in evaluating their professors, it can also be risky to have non-mechanics critically evaluating an AP/IA, particularly if it was something "not done" rather than something "done".  If it goes to court, the expert's opinion will prevail.  Best to just express disapproval by word of mouth locally.
