It's time to replace the well-worn windlace on the door opening. The interior guy I spoke with normally uses 1/2 inch windlace, but noticed that what's installed in our '79 Dakota is 1/4 (or 3/8?) inch.

Has anyone done this job before? What's a good source for the windlace? Any tips/tricks/suggestions you can share are appreciated!

This pic is from seven years ago when we last had the interior redone.
