What cruise climb indicated speed do you use for climbing from higher altitudes above 10K in a non turbo?

Like in my dakota, cruise climb is 100 KT and climbing from 10k to 12k I had to climb at 85Kt to get 500 fpm. At 100 Kt I could only get 100-200 fpm. Want to take her up to the service ceiling someday upto 17K.
