Has anybody ever [successfully] welded a crack on the trunnion ear on the main gear strut housing? Mine has a hairline on the bottom of the inboard ear, and my IA says it's not salvageable. I have a line on a replacement, but was just curious, if it could be saved, for a spare perhaps?
