Cowl anti-chafe tape

I bought a roll of cowl anti-chafe tape from spruce, and got all excited about replacing the stuff that was on the plane.... I swear, it had to be original. As I removed the old strip, it occurred to me..... this is a woven fabric tape. How best to put holes in it for the screws?
