Wondering what the most cost effective vacuum system delete is for minor glass upgrade. I just bought a 480 WAAS GPS and would like to tie into a more modern panel. I currently have a STEC 50 coupled to a vacuum driven DG, so need to factor keeping that active. If I go with a used Aspen, am I able to eliminate the vacuum pump? I was thinking no, since no redundancy. I know the G5's would do it but that really seems to jump the price up. The AV30 seems like a good option but they don't couple to the auto-pilot yet. Having it coupled to GPS would be nice.
