Converting a GTX33 to 33ES

Has anyone upgraded their GTX33 remote XPDR to a 33ES that is ADS-Out capable? My GTX33 was my primary XPDR until I updated my panel a few years ago and added a GTX345R. I'm heading back to my Avionics shop this winter and I think I'm going to just go ahead and have them send my 33 into Garmin for them to modify it to a 33ES. Shop is quoting $2K. This will give me dual ADS-Out XPDR's. Just curious if anyone has done this. Thanks!
