I need some assistance about subscriptions from someone in the know. I have heard a lot of answers but nothing definitive. We currently have a GNS530W and have always maintained the Jeppesen NavData for the year for legal IFR. Now, we have updated with a G500. Do I need to continue to purchase the Jepp NavData as well as the Garmin Pilot Pak with the NavData to be current and legal? I have been told that there is a 2k upgrade to read Jepp data on the G500.
Basically, what I am asking is do I need to purchase the PilotPak from Garmin with the NavData or the Americas lite Pilot Pak or the US Lite Pilot Pak. Geez...I just want to know which Nav database to purchase and we do want flightcharts.
