Going to take this to my radio guy next week but thought I'd throw it out there.

I've got the Garmin GMA 340 Audio Panel.
COM1 is a GNS430.
COM2 is a Narco 812 NAV/COM/DME

When COM1 is selected in the audio panel (for listening) and COM2 is selected for MIC then when I hit the push to talk button I get a whole whack of static in my ear. However, if I talk through the static I am told that I come through loud and clear to anyone else listening. If I deselect com1, then the static goes away and COM2 works perfectly.

Also. Recently I've been having intermittent squelch problems with COM1. (i.e. it will show RX and just emit static on any channel). If I turn it off and on it sometimes goes away. Doesn't seem to have anything to do with whether or not COM2 is selected.

I wonder if the two things are related? Any ideas?
