I have a gear issue that is unsolved. After rotation, try to raise the gear handle and it doesn't go up. For those of you who know, the Cheyenne I (presumably the Navajo as well) gear handle has to be pulled 1/2" toward the pilot over the "bar" then up. I could pull it back but it won't allow me to push it up all the way to the gear up position. The handle feels stuck and won't allow for the full handle movement to the up position......meaning your gear doesn't retract. After fussing with it up and down for 30 seconds or so, it magically allows full movement up, and the gear retracts fully. Whew! This happened 4 out of 10 flights. Talked to Tiffin Aire in Toledo, they advised to swap out the solenoid that is hooked to the squat switch. The $1500 solenoid, that is the size of a wine cork, prevents gear retraction when you are on the ground. Replaced this and had no issues for 6 or 8 gear retractions. Then, the problem resurfaced. Any ideas from you Cheyenne or Navajo guys?
