Is it possible to permanently add weight to the tail of the Cherokees to adjust weight and balance?

For instance, bolting 10 lbs. of lead weight at 143" or a similar position to given a greater effect to the W&B calculation given the moment?

Or, I've heard it's possible to move the battery to the rear. What does this entail? I assume in AMUs it's not an inexpensive solution...
